In a quest to find paint that was the same quality as what the Old Masters used (think Sandro Botticelli, Caravaggio, and Rembrandt) Michael Harding began experimenting and creating his own paints. Almost as soon as he perfected his technique, demand for his paint was off the charts, and the rest they say…is history.

We worked with Michael Harding Oil Paints to create a website that captured Michael’s unique story and the “beautiful messiness” of painting and paint production. Through improved UX and a design that reflected his story and paints we made it easier for artists to learn about the paints and find all of the painting resources that Michael makes available.

Divorce Dating

Designing a dating app for grownups

Many divorcees find getting back on the dating scene a daunting experience. But divorce lawyer and star of the Bravo TV series Untying the Knot, Vikki Ziegler, believes that divorcees can build confidence, connect and find friendship, or love,  again and it can be better than ever! Vikki wanted to help divorcees get back into the dating game so together, we created Divorce Dating- the app.

From the initial, immersive 2 week discovery phase, through the UX/UI development and into the branding and design, we worked closely with Vikki to make her dream of a community for divorcees a reality. Our teams joined together to celebrate at the launch party, hosted by Bravo, marking the end of one Counterspace journey with Vikki Ziegler and her team, and the beginning of another- creating the Divorce Dating website.

Adelphic

Adaptive redesign

Adelphic, a mobile and cross-device demand side platform based in Boston, MA, wanted to re-design their website to display their updated branding and take advantage of adaptive technology for mobile devices.

The Adelphic story, a company on the cutting edge of mobile technology, is just beginning. The mobile industry is expanding faster than any other in history. Every day new technologies are emerging onto the landscape, each with their own life span, and change the direction of this ever changing industry.

Counterspace had already assisted Adelphic to update their typography within their brand and create a number of graphic visualizations of their technology process and their website was the next design challenge. We began by listening to the Adelphic talk about their companies goals, their competition and what they wanted their website to do for their company. The end result is a website that integrates with a number of technologies and tells the unique story of Adelphic.

Diono Carseats

Designing and developing under time constraints

Diono is a highly celebrated brand that has earned a loyal following for their safe and award winning Radian®RXT car seats and travel solutions. We developed an all new website to reposition the brand online driving conversion to sale across digital touch-points. We designed and launched a responsive desktop, tablet and mobile optimized website with a keen focus on search engine visibility.

Efforts helped drive 40% increase in car seat sales. Success of marketing goals over 9 months included increasing website traffic 40%.

After reviewing Diono’s marketing materials and understanding their vision and goals, we had a clear idea of what the site should look like and how it should function to drive conversions to sale and registration. We designed a clean site with a bold header, call outs and navigation that enables the products to standout and drive engagement with site visitors.

We worked through the IA determining the best locations for secondary and tertiary information resulting in a great user experience.  Most importantly the Diono team, allowed us to seamlessly integrate with their company and environment which contributed to a successful launch and ongoing ability to optimize the experience. We were able to work as part of a team rather than as an outsider, from the outset we were included in strategic discussions on the business and marketing goals resulting in a website experience that is reflective of the brand, has a great user experience for shoppers, informative for those in the research stage and will last for many years.
