Neon Squid, a new imprint from Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group headquartered in the United Kingdom, publishes books for inquisitive children. The project was to capture the fun, children feeling of the emerging brand and convert that into a easily accessible website. Centered around the “cute little squid” the brand was playfully directed towards creating nonfiction books that make complex topics—such as archeology and medicine—accessible and intriguing to young readers.
We were approached by the Macmillan team to bring the brand to life online, by creating a multi-lingual experience to present each of the books, along with their authors and illustrators. The result is a fun preview into this new imprint, that spans two continents.
